WebIt doesn't hurt but it does feel very tender. The spot is also pinkish in color and very smooth in appearance compared to the rest of the tongue. I tried rinsing my mouth with lukewarm salt-water, hoping that it would help heal my tongue, but it didn't help at all. This week the spot is larger (about half an inch long) and is the shape of an oval.
